K9 connect approaches the world of dog training with an open mind. We understand every dog and family we work with has different needs. By utilizing modern training techniques, building relationships with our clients, and taking the time to teach and train the pet parents as much as we train the pet - we have created methods that pave the way to long term success in dog training.

Dog training is inherently a people business, and with this in mind we understand that it's vital to the success of every dog that their owner is educated and provided the tools and information to succeed.

As your trainer, this means keeping you updated in-detail with your dog's progress, as well as providing easy to understand information about the training your dog is receiving. I can give you the best advice and training in the world, but if you don't understand why you're doing it then my job as a trainer is not complete until you do.

Dog training is a lifetime commitment, and I am committed to providing the best training I possibly can to every client and their furry family members.

ABOUT ALEX

My name is Alex Jones, and I have been training dogs since 2011.

I graduated from Triple Crown Academy ( now known as StarMark Academy ) with my certification as a dog trainer and title as a behavior specialist in 2011. Since then I have pursued my love for dogs and dog training through working as a dog groomer, in dog daycares and as a dog trainer.

K9 Connect Dog Training was created with the intent of running a training business that focuses on meeting the needs of not only your dog but you as a pet parent and family. Teaching and training your dog is my job, but so is training you.

I am dedicated to long term success of every dog I train, and every family I work with. Making sure you are informed, educated and understanding what your dog needs from you after training is vital to your dogs success.

Each dog I train is different - who your dog is plays a huge role in how they should be trained. Because of this, I am dedicated to continually learning about dog training and focused on expanding my knowledge so I can share it with you and your dog.

ABOUT KELSIE

Hi, my name is Kelsie and I have been working in the dog industry since 2018. My love for animals has been lifelong and my passion working with dogs began when I got my first rescue dog in 2017. I was in over my head with her behavioral issues - but up to the challenge. This is when I started to dive into learning about dog behavior and starting to apply it in my personal life.

Over the past 7 years I have enjoyed every moment spent learning more about dogs and working with them. I have worked in an administrative role in dog daycare, dog boarding and dog training - allowing me to spend countless hours connecting with and educating dog owners on their dogs behavior and decision making. I have invested my time into continually learning about dogs from other trainers, reading material, learning about new dog sports and activities that help grow our relationships with our dogs in new ways.

I am passionate about sharing all that I have learned with others, and I’m always happy to spend the time needed to truly educate people and help them understand their dog and ho to grow and improve their dog’s relationship through trust building and training. Just as passionate as I am about the dogs I work with, I am equally as passionate about the people.

The basis of this business is owner education and our aim is that you will leave your time with us confident in your dog’s training, understanding of our dog’s behavior and ready to take on the world with your dog!
